Let Freedom Ring - William J & Gloria Gaither / @82 Gaither Music Co.

V1)  Deep within, the heart has always known,  that there is freedom.
Somehow breathed into, the very soul of life
The prisoner, the powerless, the slave have always known it
There is something that,  keeps reaching for the sky

V2)  Even life begins because, a baby fights for freedom
And songs we love to sing,  have freedom's theme
Some have walked,  through fire and flood,  to find a place of freedom
And some faced hell itself for freedoms dream

Chorus) Let freedom ring wherever minds know what it means to be in chains
Let freedom ring wherever hearts know pain
Let freedom echo through the lonely streets where prisons have no key
We can be free and we can sing let freedom ring

V3) God built freedom into every fiber of creation,
And He meant for us to all be free and whole,
When my Lord bought freedom, with the blood of His redemption,
His cross stamped pardon on my very soul

V4) I'll sing it out, with every breath, I'll let the whole world hear it
This hallelujah anthem of the free
That iron bars, and heavy chains, can never hold us captive
The Son has made us free, Yes free indeed

God Bless The USA  - Lee Greenwood /Music Corp of America / Sycamore Valley Music / BMI

V1) If tomorrow all the things were gone, I'd worked for all my life, And I had to start again,
with just my children and my wife.I'd thank my God above, to be livin' here today.
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom, and they can't take that away.

Chorus)  And I'm proud to be an American,  where at least I know I'm free.
And I wont forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land, God bless the USA.

V2) From the lakes of Minnesota,to the hills of Tennessee., Across the plains of Texas,
From sea to shining sea. From Detroit on down to Houston, and New York to L.A.
Well there's pride in every American heart, and its time we stand and say.

And all who see her know she stands for, Liberty for you and me.

I will honor our flag and our trust in God, And the Statue of Liberty.

V2) On lonely Golgotha stood a cross,  With my Lord raised to the sky;
And all who kneel there live forever, As all the saved can testify.

Chorus 1)   I'm so glad to be called a Christian, To be named with the ransomed and whole;
As the statue liberates the citizen, So the cross liberates the soul.

Chorus 3) Oh the cross is my Statue of Liberty, It was there that my soul was set free;
Unashamed I'll proclaim that a rugged cross, Is my Statue of Liberty!

Freedom - Roger Bennett / J. Douglas music / ASCAP

Chorus )  Freedom that the world can know, Freedom that will not let go,
Freedom, all you need to know, The cross paid the way for freedom,
Calvary purchased our freedom.

V1) My soul was shackled, I was in despair,  The weight of the world had kept me there,
The chains grew stronger every day, I owed a debt that I could not pay,
But then I heard about a man from one of friends, A man who could forgive and forget my sins,
I opened my heart and He walked right in, Mercy and pardon He brought with Him,
Now I'm shoutin' 'bout
.

V2) A long time ago on a hill far away, They thought they Jesus out of the way
They hung Him on a cross and they put Him in a tomb, Satan laughed in the cold and blue, But then the thunder rolled,Jesus opened His eyes, The angel rolled the big stone aside,
Jesus stood up and He walked right out, He broke sin's chains now I have to shout.
Now I'm shoutin' 'bout,

For Freedom - Matt Moran / Meadowgreen

V1) Somewhere a trumpet sounds in the night,  A soldier is standing there
It’s calling him out to the stars and the stripes, It’s calling him God knows where
He kisses the ones he loves goodbye, and leaves in the dead of night
For freedom he’ll heed the call, Leave all he knows,
(duet) And for freedom he’ll stand and fight

V2) And somewhere a man & wife can’t believe, they’re telling their girl goodbye
For gone are the days of pigtails and curls, and candlelight lullabies
If they had their way she’d stay young forever, and never be far from home
But freedom has drawn her heart to danger’s shore, And for freedom they’ll let her go

V3) And somewhere a thunderous crash in the night, It echoes all through the hills
Though many escape it’s wrath and it’s rage,  A soldier lies wounded still
Remembering the land he loves, he cries, I’ve loved you with all my might
For freedom said I’m her son whatever comes, And for freedom I’ll say goodbye, say goodbye

V4) And somewhere beneath the stars and the sky,  Our flag is still standing
She bled and she brought one land under God, Her colors still lead us there
She’s carried the lives of those before us, She’s buried the bold and brave
For freedom she holds our hopes and hands up high,  And for freedom she’ll ever wave

Heal Our Land  - Roger Ochs

V1) America the Beautiful, We've sung freedom's song
In this land of Plenty, God has blessed us for so long.
But our sons and Daughters, now have fallen, right before our eyes
Though sorrow brought us to our knees, It's time for us to rise

Chorus) As we face this trial together, let's go forward hand and hand
Let us lift our prayers toward heaven, united we will stand
From the ashes of our ruins, We will rise and build again
For the God of this great nation, will give us strength and heal our land.

V2) This is not the first time, that blood has stained our soil.
And it may not be the last time, before evil plans are foiled
The wounds are deep, the anger strong,  The crowds are just as loud
America may be weeping,  oh but she's still standing proud

Bridge) Our Fathers new the challenge, that we now face today
From Pearl to New York Harbor,     Let all America say:

Land of the Free - Rebecca J. Peck / Centergy Music / BMI

V1) Far beyond these spacious skies is a perfect land, Of never ending peace and glorious rest
Where those saved by the grace God shed for their souls,  Will dwell and be eternally blessed

Chorus)
We'll be living in the land of the free, and the home of the saved,
Where the blood stained banner of Jesus boldly waves
We will sing to Him our anthems of praise, In the land of the free and the home of the saved

V2) Bound by sin we cried out for true liberty, Christ broke the chains and we heard freedom ring
Now we look toward the shore, where our homeland awaits, Where we will ever worship our King

It Has Always Been The Soldier - Robbie Hiner

V1)  It’s not ABS or CBS; NBC  or CNN that has given us the freedom of the press.
Not Jerry Falwell,  Larry Flint, Ted Kennedy, or even Jessie Jackson,  giving us the freedom,
to verbally express.  Not the campus organizers, or all the demonstrations
giving us the freedom, to march, freely march and disagree.  Oh can’t you see?!

Chorus )  It has always, been the soldier, who has made the sacrifice.
Standing strong and, proud in battle,  willing to, lay down his life.

V2) Somewhere there’s a soldier, and he’s looking at a picture, of his little girl,
How he wishes he were home! And somewhere there’s a soldier, and he’s reading a love letter,
from his wife, and she is telling him how she feels so all alone. And somewhere there’s a mom & dad, who cry late in the night, for a son who won’t be coming home; A son who gave their life. Freedom isn’t free! Oh can't you see.

(bridge)  To the angry man who shakes his fist and burns the stars and stripes;
That same flag that drapes the coffins of those who gave their lives.
There’s no other place that you can go, or you have ever been
where the blood of soldiers gives the right,  to burn the flag again!

Chorus 2)  It has always been the soldier, on land, in air, and sea.
It has always been the soldier, fighting for our liberty!

Another Soldier’s Coming Home - Janet Paschal / Maplesong Music /BMM Music / ASCAP

V1)  His back is bent and weary,  His voice is tired and low, His sword is worn from battle,
And his steps have gotten slow, But he used to walk on water, Or it seemed that way to me
I know he moved some mountains, And never left his knees.

Chorus)
Strike up the band,  Assemble the choir, Another soldier’s coming home
Another warrior hears the call he’s, waited for so long. He’ll battle no more, He’s won his wars
make sure Heaven’s table has room, for at least one more.
Sing a welcome song, Another soldier’s coming home.“

V2)  He faced the winds of sorrow,  But his heart knew no retreat. He walked in narrow places,  Knowing Christ knew no defeat.  But, now his steps turn homeward,  so much closer to the prize.
He’s sounding kind of homesick. There’s a longing in his eyes.

The Battle Hymn of the Republic - William Steffe and Julia Ward Howe

V1) Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored,
He has loosed the fateful lightening of His terrible swift sword, His truth is marching on.

Chorus)   Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!,  Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!   His truth is marching on.

V2) He has sounded form the trumpet that shall never call retreat
He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment-seat
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! be jubilant, my feet! , Our God is marching on.

V3) In the beauty of the lillies Christ was born across the sea,
With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me:
As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free, While God is marching on.
